Dr. Jennica Janssen, CBT Therapist, Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness

Jennica Janssen, PhD, JD

CBT Therapist, SHE/HER/HERS

Registered Psychological Assistant: California 94026040

I am a CBT therapist with years of experience in providing evidence-based therapy to individual clients and groups in a variety of settings, including telehealth, inpatient hospital, intensive outpatient programs, community mental health, and forensic environments. I have expertise in treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and mindfulness-based approaches including guided meditation. I completed my doctoral internship with the Department of Mental Health in Los Angeles County and Drexel University’s Psychological Services Center.

The continued stigmatization of mental health often serves as a barrier for people, preventing prospective clients from taking the first steps to beginning therapy and improving their lives. Mental health, much like physical health, is a continuous process that, with work and dedication, leads to noticeable, and lasting change. I combine compassion and an individually tailored evidence-based approach to help you foster a greater understanding of what may be standing in your way and guide you toward leading the life you truly want. I look forward to connecting with you.
