we believe Therapy is for everyone

At the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, we believe everyone can benefit from therapy. From the time we’re young, we’re taught how to take care of our physical health and our bodies, but we’re not generally taught how to manage our thoughts and emotions so we can take care of our mental wellbeing. Psychological health is often not prioritized or discussed, and seeking care has historically been stigmatized. Many people never seek psychological help, and others may only seek it when they are experiencing a crisis. We aim to change this. We believe that investing in your psychological health is essential to overall wellbeing, no matter your life circumstances. Life is challenging, and everyone can use support.

we believe in psychological health

If you take a multivitamin, exercise, or visit a doctor for routine checkups, you’re familiar with maintenance of physical health and illness prevention. You take care of your physical health all the time, not just when something has gone wrong or when you’re ill. Similarly, psychological health can be maintained through therapy and therapy can be a preventative measure, in addition to being helpful during particularly difficult times. We believe in providing care across the spectrum of psychological health, and in fostering mental and emotional wellbeing in addition to treating mental illness.

we believe in evidence-based therapy

We believe strongly in providing only evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapies: therapy that has proven to be effective through copious research studies. We also employ only doctoral-level clinicians who are highly trained experts in providing these evidence-based services. Not all therapies are evidence-based. Learn more by clicking below.
