Broderick Sawyer, PhD
Psychologist, He/him/his
Licensed Clinical Psychologist: Illinois 071.022232, authorized to provide teletherapy in 40 states and District of Columbia through PSYPACT.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with years of experience delivering evidence-based treatments to adults, teens and couples, with an overarching philosophy rooted in Liberation Psychology. I specialize in Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
Together, we’ll move beyond old cycles and heal at the root—building trust in yourself, improving relationships, and creating a life shaped by your values. As a clinical psychologist with diverse training, experience as a college athlete, and a decade-long Buddhist practice, I guide clients in developing practical, solution-focused skills that support presence, clarity, momentum, and deep insight into root-level issues. My style is evidence-based, grounded, and collaborative. We’ll start with the immediate concerns that bring you in, and as desired, we may explore deeper patterns and roots.
While I practice as a psychotherapist full-time, I also offer speaking and consulting services, primarily in the areas of liberation psychology, mindfulness and Buddhism, trauma, and organizational wellness.
